Spa Francorchamps RS trackday

Ok ok ok, RenaultSport have eventually announced the date for the Spa Francorchamp trackday! :'D

So, who's interested in heading to Belgium for a trackday on one of the worlds great tracks on 1st June 2009, a Monday!?

There's no prices posted in the thread but someone has mentioned that the Spa day has gone up £50 since last year, which if true, puts it at £195 for the day. The day is run via 20 minute sessions and last year each group got 8 sessions (I think) over the course of the day.

Obviously, being held on a Monday will mean a Friday departure and hopefully some time on the Nurburgring over Saturday and Sunday, which is due to open from 13.30-19.30 and 08.30-19.30 respectively. There's also a full days TF on Monday 1st and Wednesday 3rd for anyone interested in staying there as opposed to heading to Spa.

It was in the RenaultSport newsletter Dimitri, just had a look at it there and it's just the dates with no info as how to sign up yet. Last year it was a matter of sending in a cheque, but there's no details yet! Forward me your email and I'll send you the newsletter if you want to.

It'd almost be a shame not to work in the Dieppe visit on the 8th...or is that pushing it a bit?

There will be an online booking facility in 2009 so have to keep an eye out for that! Dieppe on the 8th, hmmm .. .. ..

Regardless of which one you caught you would end up at Spa, (about 3h from Calais), at midnight. Hit the hotel.

June 1st - Monday
£200stg Spa Francorchamps for the RS trackday
Drinks and hotel again in Belgium.

June 2nd - Tuesday
2h trip to the Nurburgring TF which opens at 13.30 for an afternoon lapping
Drinks and night in Germany

June 3rd - Wednesday
Nurburgring open for TF all day
Drinks and night in Germany

June 4th - Thursday
I plan on heading for Paris Thursday morning for Thurs/Fri night and head home on Saturday morning.
Eurotunnel home for anyone taking the direct route is £56.

If you plan on doing the trip like that i.e out Sunday, back Thursday the Eurotunnel is £56 each way. It's a little more for me as I won't be availing of the shot stay price.

Watcha thunk? Whatever about the ferries & accom which can ultimately wait, I'm thinking of booking the Eurotunnel while it's so cheap, it's usually a hell of a lot more expensive and is way way handier than getting the boat from Dover.

Do I take it Marku-Allen is on board for this Spa day also!? :hat:

Fair play for that Ian. Unfortunately I have absolutely no money until february I fear, so I'll have to leave booking anything till then. Prices look good though so far.

I'm still not sure what to do about the Dieppe day, I'm tempted since I'm so close, depends on whether I have the hols to play with more than anything.
