I've just gone & switched off the WYSiWYG controls for posting threads and new messages, this is simply because it was taking an age to load the 'New Thread' and 'Post Reply' pages with them enabled.

Let me know if you think it's an improvement, or a drawback, over the old method.

Is there no way of having it disabled by default but users can enable it through User CP? Vbulletin has lost a lot of things in the move from 2 to 3.

Yep, 3 is gradually improving, but it has problems. The page sizes are stupidly big if you leave some options on, that WYSIWYG editor takes an age to load and some browsers don't like it. Template/CSS integration is a total bitch.

Other than that.. it's not too bad.. and it's certainly an improvement over YaBB ;)
