What an asshole. "I'm the server administrator, but it's the hosting site's fault". Maybe if he paid an extra fiver a month he could mirror the boot disk. Or put the data off the boot disk. Or implement change control. Or engage his brain in selecting a hosting partner.

You are a taxi driver and the taxi breaks down. Do you think your clients want to hear that the stupid mechanic left the plug out of the sump and that it is not your fault cos you paid him €15 to service the car?

I'd fire him for this error page, not for the server going down to begin with.
