Cheap used xbox

Anyone know what the going rate for a good used xbox is?
All this talk of FORZA has me wondering if my limited funds could stretch to it.

I've explored this route myself before (had a thread up on here about it a while back)

General consensus is to buy one brand new or in failing that, buy second hand from a reputable dealer (due to warranty)

Buying privately can lead to problems, especially now, since xbox have band a lot of consoles that have been chipped, so a lot of people have started selling these off very cheap.

Also, the red ring of death problem is quite common on the xboxs and if you buy private and don't have any warranty, you'll be footing the bill for that as well.

Best bet is to buy new, I got an xbox elite for 250 from xtravision, theres a few great deals out in smiths: www.toys.ie 250 for xbox elite, forza and modern warfare 2.

Head to a local bricks'n'mortar shop, and see what unwanted Christmas presents have been brought in.

Gamestop were (are?) doing refurbed 20gig Xbox's with any 2nd hand game for 150 euro. 1 year warranty included. You could even trade in the game "instantly" against a brand new game if you like.
