Did ye see that honda in the for sale section?
Wow - sex on wheels or what!
Anyone going to the show in the RDS? I was over at that Alley Pally job and was
very disappointed - last year's RDS show was better not to mention cleaner - that hall in London is a kip.

Yup I'm going. Need a new helmet. Not sure whether I'll go Friday (leave slightly early from work :O :O ) or Saturday.

You were at the ally pally skenny?
It WAS crap wasn't it.
Absolute rubbish. No bargains at all and really cramped.
But as for "better than the rds"
Steady on there!!!!

If ye call in to the ducati shop they might give you a pass for friday - i got one off them the other day.
The Ducati and BMW stands in the RDS were better than the Ally Pally. Suzuki's stand at the AP was pretty good - one unlikely bike getting a lot of attention was the fully faired SV1000 in the blue white & red - looked great, apparently has a more powerful engine too.
I thought the r1200rt looked alot better in the flesh than in the mags.
I was looking at the website for the rds show and i couldn't see any stands for Suzuki, Honda or Yamaha - maybe they're in importers names or maybe they don't give a toss about the irish show.

Last year there were a few new bikes to show, this year not so many (GSXR1000 and ?)...can understand why it might be a small show this year. Although the last year I noticed a worrying trend towards the "100% modified" crowd...RDS turns into a titty twister for the weekend catering for young lads attired in bright adidas leisurewear with what looked like dust or navel fluff on their upper lips.
The NEC and the bi-annual Paris bike show are the only ones worth visting tbh.

I was at both the Ally-Pally in London and the NEC in Birmingham last year and the Ally-Pally was better by far with what I thought were much better bargains.
Both shows seem to have gone down hill over the past couple of years according to many on the UK bike forums with a definate ebb towards the soft porn as Tech says. The emphasis seems to be less on the bikes and gear every year....
If I want porn I'll google...... ;D

Hey don't knock the chicks!!! If it wasn't for the spray-on lycra camel-toed peanut smugglers the ally pally would've been a TOTAL washout !!!!
