car doesn't have to be up to race/rally spec so no cage, race seat, harness etc needed. you'll need to make sure that the seat is secure and have a working lap belt fitted. fire extiguisher is advisable but not mandatory.

best thing is to go along for a look and see the level of preperation on the cars and chat to a few of the guys n girls and see what the best mods to make are

One day event licences are available for purchase for those who do not hold a current Motorsport Ireland Clubman licence..
Any car will do. Just make sure it has a good handbrake... The lighter the better & pump up those rear tyres to 60psi...

There are 4 beginner autotests during the summer and approx 25 other events around the country during the year. They typically cost €30 to €35 for beginners/novices. Double driving is permitted and quite popular for beginners.
As the clubman licence only costs €40 for the year for first timers its the best bet if you plan on doing a few events.
This is a fantastic sport and really improves your car control. It is possibly one of the most difficult sports to master and you do go through a pain barrier, but its really worth it and will be of tremendous help if you want to improve you racing skills..
We have a few Rallycross drivers joining soon as they have seen the benefits others have got from this sport and want to improve their competitiveness..

Hi, The Cinq might not be the best long term as the gearbox is quite weak.. This is why you see a lot of starlets.. The cars take a lot of punishment..
Its great craic for sure but as I mentioned you'll have accept looking like a clown for a while until you get the hang of it... It regularly humbles racing drivers...
